Today, we will show you our recommended routes, events, and facilities in the area.<br \/>\nThis event &amp; tour will absolutely help people who are interested in mountain hikes but don\u2019t know how to begin them or how to pick appropriate hiking gear, get right information and to take the first step in heading to the mountains in this beautiful season of autumnal hues.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6752\" src=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_5253.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><br \/>\nLet\u2019s start off with a reliable and informative place for beginners \u201cTOREKO\u201d!<br \/>\nAs a support center for Rokko mountain hikes, Trail Station Kobe (a.k.a. TOREKO) was newly opened in JR Shinkansen Shin-Kobe Station in July, 2023. TOREKO offers a wide variety of beginner-friendly services that include hiking gear rentals.<br \/>\n<strong>Trail Station Kobe \u201cTOREKO\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/en\/toreko\/\" href=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/en\/toreko\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/en\/toreko\/<\/a> (English)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6753\" src=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_5256.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><br \/>\nA guided tour, which was organized by TOREKO today, is part of the Kobe Mountain Hike project (\u201cLet\u2019s head to the mountains in Kobe! ~Stamp Collecting Event~\u201d). This tour is the first tour, and the goal of the tour is to visit 4 Japanese-style teahouses and collect 4 stamps. During the event period, 6 more fun tours are scheduled. Rokko area and a resting spot \u201cTREK KOBE Tsukuhara Cabin\u201d in the Mt. Don\u2019t miss out on this popular autumn event!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6776\" src=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/50694_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><br \/>\nThe tour guide is the manager of TOREKO, Mr. Ishii.<br \/>\nA beginner-friendly hiking route was arranged, and the route was specially great for autumn leaf viewing. Mr. Ishii guided 10 participants to wonderful viewing spots and 4 teahouses with stamp collecting spots during this 4-hour tour.<br \/>\n(*Route: Shin-Kobe Station\u2192Nunobiki Waterfalls\u2192Nunobiki Reservoir\u2192Futatabi Park\u2192Dairyuji Temple\u2192Taishi Road\u2192Kencho-mae Station\uff09<\/p>\n<p>Many of the participants rented trekking-related gear such as shoes, poles, backpacks, outfits at TOREKO.<br \/>\n(*TOREKO exclusively provides participants, who take part in the TOREKO tour for the first time, with rental gear free of charge.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6754\" src=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_5271.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><br \/>\nIt would be a smart and an easy choice to stop by TOREKO to get information about trekking gear or rent some necessary items for mountain hikes.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6762\" src=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/50558_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/>Departing from Shin-Kobe Station, only a 15-minute hike will take you to this amazingly beautiful \u201cNunobiki Waterfalls\u201d. As it\u2019s very easily accessible from the gate of Kobe \u201cShin-Kobe Station\u201d, some of the participants were surprised not only by its serene and mystical presence but also by its geographical conditions.<br \/>\nNunobiki Waterfalls is known as one of Japan&#8217;s three greatest divine waterfalls along with Nachi Falls (Wakayama Prefecture) and Kegon Falls (Tochigi Prefecture).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6758\" src=\"https:\/\/kobe-rokko.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_5294.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><br \/>\nThe first stamp collecting spot is \u201cOntaki Chaya teahouse\u201d. As a side note, Chaya (jaya) originally means \u201cteahouse\u201d in Japanese but nowadays, it is widely used as a general term of a Japanese-style caf\u00e9 diner. Ontaki Chaya started its service in 1914. Since then, their traditional Japanese dishes such as oden (Japanese fish cakes simmered in a soy sauce-based dashi broth) and yudofu (boiled tofu) have been loved by Kobe locals.
