Route No.3
Origin and History of the name of Lake Tsukuhara
Lake Tsukuhara is a reservoir of the Dondo Dam, which was built by damming the Shijimi River in the lake that spans from Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture to Tsukuhara, Yamada-cho, Kita-ku, Kobe City. Located near the Seto Inland Sea in southern Hyogo Prefecture, this area has a warm, low-rainfall climate, so the Dondo Dam was built to ensure a stable supply of water.
