One of the best things about Kobe is its unique geographical feature. The entire area is encircled by local mountains and the sea which are situated extremely close to each other. Rokko Cable Sanjo Station【Arrival】

The license plate of the bus we took was 653 (rokko san) by chance. Perhaps we got very lucky!
(*six=roku, five=go, three=san in Japanese. “Six five three” is “roku go san” that sounds similar to Rokkosan (Mt. Rokko).)

The Rokko Sanjo Station was opened in 1932 and still amazingly maintains its classic presence. Stop by for a little while and feel the nostalgic aura inside!

Trivia!

This steel-and-concrete station building is acclaimed as “Heritage of Industrial Modernization”, “Kobe historical heritage”, and “one of the top 100 stations in the Kinki region”.

Museum Mae bus stop【Arrival】Rokko Forest Sound Museum (Right beside the bus stop)

Rokko Forest Sound Museum was newly reborn in July, 2021. Their automatic music performances are scheduled daily by using many types of mechanical instruments such as music boxes.

Among their extensive antique music box collection, you can find some of their very classic and rare ones which were produced more than 100 years ago!

As the entire property is surrounded by the beautiful green garden, please sit back, unwind, and take delight in rich nature all throughout the four seasons.
