Near the Rock Garden in Ashiya, the birthplace of rock climbing, lies Hot Spring Health Spa Mori Onsen. Completely destroyed in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, it resumed operations just two months later, covering the bathtubs with blue sheets at its temporary shelter. After operating in a prefabricated building, it underwent renovations in 2006. The second-generation owner continues to actively preserve the public bathhouse culture. Having served as captain of the mountain climbing club during his student days, he is also an avid hiker. As an advanced climber, he enjoys hiking at the Rock Garden as if going for a walk. He recommends the Twentycross trail for beginners. With extensive knowledge of the mountains, the special offers provided cater closely to the needs of climbers.
Special offers for hikers!
Feel free to ask any questions about Mt. Rokko, including hiking routes.
There’s a space near the entrance where you can place your hiking boots that are too big for the shoe lockers.
