The home of Kobe's first sauna!
Honjoyu, run by the second-generation owner, was the first public bathhouse in Kobe to have a sauna. The bathing area features a bright space with a white color scheme, rare circular baths, and a dedicated post-bath tub, which are unusual in Kobe. It offers a pleasantly tranquil atmosphere as if you've stepped back in time. The owner's favorite tile art in the bathing area reproduces the work of a famous Spanish painter. Enjoy soaking in the spacious tub while appreciating the art. In the retro ambiance of Honjoyu, casual conversations with the friendly owner are also a delightful part of the experience.
Special offers for hikers!
The amenity set is normally 690 yen, but hikers can purchase one for 620 yen before/after their hike♪
