Enjoy the retro atmosphere of the Showa era!
This course marking the start of the Rokko Traverse from Sumaura Koen station on the Sanyo Electric Railway, passing through Mt. Hachibuse, Mt. Hatafuri, and heading towards Mt. Tekkai, is a representative route that many hikers use. Starting from Sumaura Koen station, as you approach the summit of Mt. Hachibuse, you'll find the revolving observation deck of Sumaura Sanjo Yuen Park. On the first floor is a jukebox playing nostalgic songs from the Showa era, with the retro atmosphere of the Showa era present inside the revolving observation deck.
Cafe Cosmos on the third floor offers a wide-ranging menu of light meals. The floor rotates once every about 50 minutes, allowing you to enjoy a 360-degree view during your meal. On the rooftop observation deck, you'll find a "Viewpoint Sign" typical of Kobe where you can overlook everything from the Suma coastline to the mountains, city, and sea from a giant needle hole, allowing you to rediscover the charm of Kobe.
