A mid-century Showa-era “modernist” hideaway in the forest
65 years of quality coffee in Takarazuka, now Yuri Coffee has a new location on Mt. Rokko. Housed in a villa built in 1935 as a second home, Yuri Coffee Rokkosan has been carefully renovated, furnished, and lit to retain the mid-century Showa-era modernism. Spacious and relaxing, the room is defined by large windows offering spectacular views of Kobe Port and beyond to Osaka City.
Yuri Coffee Rokkosan's original Rokkosan blend and other coffees come in generously sized pots (¥900)—easily enough to serve two cups!
The menu also includes a cake of the day (¥1,100), parfaits (¥1,500), and other homemade confectioneries. The “fruit forest tea” (¥900) is a refreshing combination of rosehip, hibiscus, and berries, and it’s wildly popular among those who prefer lighter refreshment on their mountain hikes.
