Support for all things related to hiking

  • Feel free to ask our experienced staff for information about hiking in Kobe, advice on hiking, and guidance on hiking routes!
  • We also offer safety support. We can assist you in submitting a hiking plan, provide advice about appropriate hiking equipment, and much more.

Examples of use

  • Ask staff for recommended hiking routes.
  • Gather information on nearby hiking events
    (We have brochures for Toreko events and other event information.)

Hiking equipment rental
550 yen(incl. tax)／per item

  • We offer rentals of essential hiking equipment such as hiking shoes, trekking poles, backpacks, and rain gear! (Please note that the rental equipment lineup may vary by season, so please inquire in advance.)
  • Our staff, who are knowledgeable about hiking, will provide guidance on how to use the equipment.
  • Please return rented items during business hours on the same day.
  • If renting hiking shoes, please bring thick socks (they are also available for purchase in the store).

  • Rent everything you need for your hike even as a beginner who doesn't own any gear.

  • We regularly hold various events related to hiking, including tours departing from Toreko, courses, workshops, and more.
  • We also have events designed for beginners!
  • Please note that advance registration may be required for some events,
    so be sure to check here・or on official Instagramfor details!
  • Participation fees vary by event (some are free).

Baggage storage
550 yen(incl. tax)per item

  • You can store items that you won't be taking on your hike.
  • Please collect your items during business hours on the same day.

  • If you took the Shinkansen to Kobe, you can leave your large suitcase here to travel light and enjoy the walk to Nunobiki Falls.

  • Portable snacks, insect repellent spray, sunscreen, hiking maps, and more.
    We sell items that are useful for hiking and that will make your hiking experience more enjoyable!

service-example

  • Purchase freeze-dried curry and use the hot water service at Toreko to make curry in your own container. Take it with you to enjoy your meal at the top of the mountain.
    (If you forget your container, we also have some available for purchase.)
  • If you forget your insect repellent, you can buy some here for peace of mind.

  • We sell Kobe Water from Rokko Nunobiki.
  • Both cold and hot water are available.
  • Water is free to use for food (freeze-dried) purchased at Toreko!

    The racks are equipped with mountain-related books and event flyers that you can browse freely within Toreko.
