The facility is easily accessible with well-maintained paths. Some visitors on the Yamada Michi and Tokugawa Michi hiking courses stop here to take a break, while others come to enjoy meals, observe plants, and take part in birdwatching. The arboretum can be reached in about 60 minutes from Tanigami Station via Yamada Michi.

The arboretum, which began to be constructed in 1940, occupies a vast site of 142.6 hectares, boasting approximately 1,200 species of plants (including around 500 foreign species). It is designed as a place for relaxation, enjoyment, and learning in nature, embodying the concept of the true essence of living plants. It serves as a soothing spot that never gets dull where visitors, whether they are hikers taking a break along the trail, plant enthusiasts, or families looking to enjoy nature and plants with their children, can find fulfillment in their respective pursuits.

Seattle Forest reaches its peak foliage earlier than other areas. Alongside the autumn leaves of sweetgum and tulip trees, the vibrant colors of the evergreen sequoias and spruces create a picturesque scene.
